Description

The electrical system consists of a 250W brushless motor that is both lightweight and efficient, which makes it more undemanding to handle than more powerful motors. A 418Wh battery generates the energy for the effective motor and contributes power for up to 40 miles based on average conditions.

The bike has been constructed with a lightweight but durable alloy frame, which makes it easier to manoeuvre whilst also being able to withstand wear and tear. Another component that increases the bike's robustness is the puncture-resistant tyres that withstand damage from road debris or other hurdles that you may encounter. With Promax mechanical disc brakes being installed you receive definitive and responsive stopping force across all seasons, allowing you to enjoy treks of tranquility with no worries at all.

Effortless gear switching is enabled with the Shimano NEXUS 7 Speed Gearing system which could be handy when you are setting off from a standstill or approaching a steep gradient. Once you have come to the end of your journey, the useful kickstand will allow you to stand your bike in an upright position that will prevent damage or scratches from forming. Mudguards also preserve the longevity of your bike by reducing dirt coming into contact with the bike's components.

Electric Bike UK Laws

There are a few regulations surrounding electric bikes in the UK so we thought we would provide you with a summary of those below:

You must be aged 14 or over in the UK to ride an electric bike.

You do not need tax, insurance or a driving license to ride an electric bike.

To be classified as an electrically assisted pedal cycle (EAPC) in the UK, an electric bike must fulfil a certain set of criteria, including:

Pedals - The electric bike must have pedals capable of propelling it, and motor assistance should only be provided when the pedals are moving.
Motor - The motor’s power output must be no more than 250 watts (W).
Speed - The motor should not be able to propel the e-bike when it’s travelling faster than 15.5mph.

Please note that if your electric bike does not meet the above 3 points, then you cannot ride on public roads. Some of our bikes exceed the 250W limit, so these are only to be used on private land with the landowner's permission.

It is the responsibility of the rider to wear protective clothing, however this is not a legal requirement.
